Rachel Huggins is a British soul singer/songwriter/musician from South London.
Rachel is an independent artist who manages to incorporate a variety of flavours into her music. Her musical style is grounded in gospel, soul and jazz and more recently influenced by ‘neo-soul’ fusing hip-hop drums with jazzy chords, a hint of R’n’B and soulful vocals. Alongside her repertoire of love songs, her lyrical content is mainly inspired by soul and gospel music, encouraging hope and aspirations for greater things and trying to promote songs with deeper meanings. Sharing thoughts based on life experiences and things witnessed by her as well as others. Rachel has an amazing array of talented musicians and vocalists on hand to deliver her fresh sound during live performances which are either with a full band or a stripped down acoustic outfit.
Her first album ‘21 Century Love Story’ was released on May 21, 2009. Her second album ‘Lost for Words’ was released in 2012. More recently she released the first of an EP trilogy called ‘Home’ in 2016.
